Gift cards make things awesome (aka lots of yarn!)
Bought some Bernat Softee Baby, size 3 light yarn, and already starting a baby hat.
Pattern is from Maria Carlander. Please go to her website for details. I am simply following her pattern, but I am using size 3.25mm/US 3 DPNs since the US does not have 3.00mm needles. Also, the pattern uses sport yarn and I am using DK, which is larger. I also cast on one extra stitch at the end, then slip the stitch to the left hand needs, and knit that stitch and the first stitch of the round together. This creates a better looking join.
My gauge: 32 sts by 40 rows for 4".
